Vidterra provides COMPASS, a software platform that automates the secure delivery of live ISR video across tactical, enterprise, and cloud networks. The platform compresses, normalizes, and routes video streams in real time, enabling mission-critical sharing across classification levels and transport types. It is deployed with U.S. special operations, conventional forces, federal law enforcement, and allied partners.

Problem
Military and federal law enforcement units often struggle to share live ISR video across different networks, classification levels, and transport types. Manual transfer, custom integrations, and expensive satellite links delay time-sensitive intelligence from reaching decision-makers, analysts, or coalition partners within operational windows.
Solution
Vidterra's COMPASS platform automates the secure delivery of live ISR video from any sensor to any destination. The software auto-discovers video sources on the network, compresses streams from 10+ Mbps to under 1 Mbps, and normalizes codecs, transport protocols, and KLV metadata in flight. COMPASS then routes video over the best available transport—including Starlink, cellular, MANET, or SATCOM—and delivers it to TAK users, web viewers, AI/ML pipelines, and C2 systems. Approved cross-domain transfer partners enable low-to-high movement when classification requires it, and permission-based access controls support sharing with coalition partners.
Target Audience
Primary customers are U.S. special operations forces, conventional military units, federal law enforcement agencies, and allied defense partners who need to share live ISR video across networks and classification levels.
