Solution
Toposens provides the ECHO ONE®, a 3D ultrasonic echolocation sensor designed to enhance collision avoidance for mobile robots. Inspired by bat echolocation, this sensor combines time-of-flight data with triangulation and advanced signal processing algorithms to enable the detection of multiple objects in three-dimensional space, even those that are typically hard to detect. The sensor provides a wide opening angle and a detection range of up to 3 meters, helping to reduce accidents and improve safety. The Toposens Processing Unit (TPU) facilitates easy integration of the ECHO ONE® by providing pre-filtered 3D point clouds in a Graphical User Interface (GUI) with adjustable warning and stopping zones.
