Space missions require precise, reliable separation mechanisms to deploy payloads and components safely from launch through orbit, but existing solutions are often bulky, complex, or lack the ability to reset quickly for multiple deployments.

Occam designs and manufactures compact separation systems that address these challenges across the entire mission lifecycle. Their miniAmigo HDRA actuator delivers up to 1 kN of preload in a 25 × 40 × 6 mm package, enabling high‑force release for CubeSats and PicoSats while supporting auto‑reset for repeatable operations. The KISS clampband family provides homogeneous preload, quick integration, and rapid reset for payloads of any size, from small cubesats to large orbital platforms. For ground operations, the Grip ground clampband adapts each KISS size for assembly, integration, and transportation testing, ensuring compatibility with standard interface dimensions. Custom aluminium interface rings and payload adapters offer tailored mechanical connections between payloads and launch vehicles, while dedicated deployers support multi‑payload rideshare and constellation deployments.
