more4nature enables transformative change in environmental protection by positioning citizens and communities as key actors in collaborative compliance assurance. The initiative develops an overarching conceptual framework built on systemic behavioral models that identify obstacles and opportunities for civil society involvement in compliance promotion, monitoring, and enforcement. Through action research across 40 cases, more4nature tests behavioral best practices and technical tools, then promotes their adoption by authorities. The project also generates policy indicators that integrate citizen-generated data with official observations, empowering communities through co-designed LivingLabs where local authorities and citizens jointly protect their environments.
