Problem
Traditional methods for purifying viral vectors, such as lentivirus and adeno-associated virus (AAV), often rely on chromatography, which can be time-consuming, expensive, and may not scale easily for large-scale manufacturing of advanced therapeutics. These methods can also suffer from limitations in yield and purity, impacting the quality of the final product.
Solution
Isolere Bio's IsoTag™ Reagent Technology offers a chromatography-free purification solution for lentiviral and AAV vectors, leveraging affinity and phase separation to streamline bioprocessing. The technology uses custom-designed affinity ligands for specific binding, enabling highly specific sequestration of target biologics. This Affinity Liquid Phase Separation (ALPS) process allows for rapid binding in solution, followed by concentration and washing to remove contaminants. The final product is then efficiently collected using existing filtration equipment, resulting in high yields, improved purity, and enhanced product stability in a single unit operation.
Target Audience
The primary customers are biopharmaceutical companies and research institutions involved in the development and manufacturing of gene therapies and viral vector-based therapeutics.
