AI Flight Recorder implements a receipts‑native architecture that creates a cryptographic receipt for every inference‑time decision. Each receipt is dual‑hashed with SHA‑256 and BLAKE3, signed with Ed25519, and linked into an append‑only Merkle ledger, providing an immutable, tamper‑evident audit trail. The system operates offline on edge devices, eliminating reliance on cloud connectivity while still delivering proof of compliance in under 2 ms per receipt. This enables drone operators, defense contractors, and other high‑risk AI users to meet regulatory and evidentiary standards, reducing liability and facilitating insurance underwriting for BVLOS operations.
