Problem
The blood-brain barrier (BBB) restricts the passage of most therapeutic agents into the brain, hindering effective treatment of neurological disorders. Conventional antibodies are unable to cross the BBB, limiting their potential as therapeutics for brain diseases.
Solution
IMNEWRUN is developing a brain drug delivery platform, TRANSMAB®, that enables the transport of therapeutic antibodies across the blood-brain barrier. The platform utilizes de novo designed peptides (TRANSPEP® library) fused to conventional antibodies, creating next-generation BBB-penetrating antibodies. These TRANSMAB® antibodies bind to densely clustered transferrin receptors on brain capillaries, facilitating efficient penetration throughout the brain parenchyma. The platform is designed for superior brain uptake without compromising systemic exposure and is optimized for safety by preserving TfR1 expression, minimizing hematological toxicity.
Target Audience
The primary target audience includes pharmaceutical companies and research institutions developing antibody therapeutics for neurological disorders, as well as patients with brain diseases who could benefit from improved drug delivery.
