Managing wounds in hard-to-dress areas such as the armpit, groin, and buttocks presents significant challenges due to joint movement, heat, moisture, skin folds, and body hair, leading to discomfort, leakage, and potential skin damage. Traditional adhesive-based wound dressings can exacerbate these issues, causing pain during changes and further skin irritation, while also failing to provide a secure and discreet solution.
Solution
HidraMed Solutions offers HidraWear, an adhesive-free, wearable wound care system designed specifically for individuals with wounds in difficult-to-dress areas. The system comprises reusable, high-wicking baselayers (available as briefs, t-shirts, and crop tops) and super-absorbent dressings that securely lock in place using SecureLock™ Technology, eliminating the need for skin-damaging adhesives or tapes. HidraWear facilitates self-care, improves dermatological quality of life, and provides patients with greater confidence in managing their condition discreetly and comfortably. The dressings feature multiple layers, including a skin-contact layer, a superabsorbent core, an anti-strike-through protective layer, and a SecureLock™ layer, ensuring optimal exudate management and protection against leakage.
