Ground A
Ground A develops the GA 1000, a portable, laser-based counter-drone system that autonomously detects, tracks, and neutralizes small drones using radar, multi-sensor fusion, and proprietary AI. The system is designed for grid-independent operation, is carried by four people, and can be integrated into existing command and control systems. It protects critical infrastructure and military installations from low-cost drone threats.

Problem
Low-cost drones have fundamentally changed the security landscape, disrupting airports, breaching perimeters, and threatening military installations. Conventional defence systems are often too expensive, too static, or too slow to counter these agile, small drones at scale, leaving critical infrastructure and military sites vulnerable.
Solution
Ground A provides the GA 1000, a compact and mobile counter-drone system that unites radar, multi-sensor fusion, computer vision, and proprietary AI with a high-energy laser effector. The system automatically detects, classifies, and tracks small, agile drones, and neutralises them within seconds, while the engagement decision always remains with a human operator. Its ruggedised, stackable energy modules allow for grid-independent operation, and the entire system fits on a Euro pallet, making it highly portable and rapidly deployable. The GA 1000 features an open, vendor-agnostic architecture, allowing it to be integrated into existing air defence, command and control systems, and land-, sea-, or air-based platforms.
Target Audience
Primary customers are military and defence organizations, as well as operators of critical civilian infrastructure such as airports and government facilities, who need a mobile, cost-efficient, and scalable counter-drone solution.
Features
- High-energy laser effector with electro-optical and infrared sensors on a fast pan-tilt platform for precise, ammunition-free neutralisation at minimal cost per engagement
- AI-driven target tracking that locks onto fast, evasive FPV drones in real time
- Self-contained, stackable energy modules that are carried by four people, swappable in the field, and rechargeable for sustained remote operations
- Open, vendor- and system-agnostic architecture for integration into existing command and control, sensor, and air defence systems
- Automated threat detection, classification, and tracking with a human-in-the-loop engagement decision
