Their LCG smart glass and film can be integrated into new or existing windows, partitions, and other transparent surfaces. The technology uses polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) and suspended particle device (SPD) formulations that are coated between two sheets of PET-ITO film. Applying an electrical charge causes the liquid crystals or suspended particles to align or scatter, allowing the glass to switch between transparent and opaque states. This provides on-demand privacy, glare reduction, and temperature control, enhancing energy efficiency and user comfort.
