Problem
Current digital financial infrastructure is too brittle, complex, bifurcated, and slow for autonomous systems—such as AI agents and machine intelligence—to use at scale. As the economy moves toward the Age of Autonomy, with abundant machine intelligence and autonomous economic participation, existing payment rails are not equipped to handle machine-driven commerce reliably or efficiently.
Solution
Final is designing new primitives for agentic commerce, starting with a project called Balances, an agent-first financial primitive for payments. The company applies strong opinions in design, financial systems, and onchain technology to build infrastructure purpose-built for machines moving money. Balances is expected to launch later in summer 2026, with the goal of enabling seamless autonomous economic participation. Final also invites developers building at the intersection of payments and agents to beta test the software and contribute to the ecosystem.
