Problem
Managing blood coagulation often requires frequent monitoring, but traditional methods rely on centralized lab equipment, causing delays in obtaining critical enzyme activity information and potentially hindering timely therapeutic adjustments. The need for frequent monitoring can be particularly challenging for patients in remote locations or those with limited mobility.
Solution
Enzyre has developed the ENZYPAD system, a near-patient diagnostic platform designed for rapid blood coagulation analysis. The system utilizes a single-use microfluidic cartridge (ENZYCARD) and a reusable processor (ENZYPAD) to provide healthcare providers with real-time data on enzyme activity. A small blood sample is collected via a blood sampling device, then the ENZYCARD, containing all necessary reagents and controls, is inserted into the ENZYPAD processor. The processor manages reagent flow, analyzes test results, and transmits the data to the cloud, enabling efficient management of coagulation therapy regardless of the physician's location. A mobile phone app controls the processor.
Target Audience
The primary target audience includes healthcare providers, such as physicians and nurses, who manage patients requiring blood coagulation monitoring, as well as point-of-care testing facilities and remote healthcare providers.
