Solution
Compass CNC offers a handheld CNC router that blends the precision of CNC technology with the flexibility of hand tools. The device allows users to load designs from their computer using a standard CAD-CAM workflow, then guides the user to move the tool roughly along the design. The router auto-corrects in real-time to eliminate user error, ensuring the design is cut perfectly. It uses mouse sensors to determine its location on any flat surface and rigid body dynamics equations to convert XY movement data into a precise location and orientation estimate of the router.
