Traditional antibody labeling methods are often time-consuming, inefficient, and can result in inconsistent labeling, leading to variability and background interference in downstream assays. Many existing conjugation techniques lack site-specificity, which can negatively impact antibody performance and assay reproducibility.
Solution
AlphaThera's oYo-Link® technology enables rapid, site-specific antibody labeling with a simplified workflow that significantly reduces hands-on time. The oYo-Link reagents utilize a low molecular weight antibody-binding domain containing a photo-crosslinker that, upon illumination, covalently binds to the antibody's Fc region. This site-specific conjugation results in uniform labeling of up to two labels per antibody, improving antibody performance and ensuring consistent, predictable results. The technology is compatible with common buffers and allows labeling of small quantities of antibody. Post-conjugation, oYo-Capture™ Magnetic Beads can be used for efficient removal of any unbound oYo-Link reagent.
