What to ask Claude
After the connector is enabled, you can ask Claude things like:
Find European devtools startups raising seed rounds.
Look up the company behind stripe.com.
Find founders for linear.app.
Find competitors for notion.so.
Find competitors for an AI note-taking app for meetings.
Current tool names
Claude usually chooses the right tool automatically, but these are the current MCP tool names exposed by StartupSeeker:
search_startups
get_company_by_domain
get_founders_by_domain
find_competitors_by_domain
find_competitors_from_description
Support status
Claude and Claude Desktop currently have the cleanest UI flow for remote MCP connectors.
ChatGPT support is still limited. Full MCP support is gated behind developer mode and workspace plan requirements, and some modes only support read or fetch actions.
Gemini support is not a simple end-user connector flow yet. Google supports MCP in developer products like Gemini API tooling and Gemini Code Assist, but not in the same straightforward hosted-app way for this use case.
